Headed in the right direction hens laying more eggs in spite of the heat

took this picture mid day Sunday the 26th, ended up picking up 36 eggs at the end of that day! Happy, Happy Joy, Joy!!

Awesome, pretty eggs! That's great your production hasn't slowed down due to the heat.
My flock is slowing down a lot with the heat, I didn't even get any eggs today.

Good Morning, thank you, its really tuff for them, not only are we having record heat, but they are at the tail end of molting. Ive had many days like you (no eggs) from March 10th, to when I posted that first message about all the hens stopped laying, 36 chickens and not a single egg! I threatened them many times when Id walk into the run and say to them "if you dont start laying eggs your going to end up in the pressure cooker" that didnt work! lol (I love chicken pot pie, and chicken fricasse) lol,,,,Joe

Molting and heat are definitely rough on them!

The molt probably was what did that.
