Headless Chicken... What predator did this?

No blood at all, just feathers everywhere. Body didn't seem damaged at all. I thought it was very weird at the time. Perfect body, just bones for a neck and no head. She was heavy when we moved her so organs were still in there. I'm tempted to put up a trail cam.

So sorry for your loss! The trail camera will be interesting; you will probably be amazed at who's visiting, especially at night.
Your run isn't secure enough for night time, especially. I hope your coop is safe so the birds can be inside while you improve your security. Hardware cloth over every opening, a hardware cloth skirt around the base unless it's all concrete, and good complicated door latches. Weasels, rats, and raccoon arms can all get through cyclone fencing, but it's useful for other critters.
Your current varmit will return! Live traps baited with cat food, or chicken, or for raccoons, peanut butter or marshmallows, may get something. Weight the trap down with a concrete block so it can't be moved or tipped over. Only trap if you will shoot the trapped varmit!

I would definitely guess a raccoon. We recently lost our entire flock- all eaten from the neck up to the bone. We didn’t know what it could have possibly been and were stumped. Until It came back and got to all Of our ducks in one night- we found one single raccoon print. One week later we caught a giant raccoon in our trap. I had only ever seen one raccoon in my neighborhood and never suspected it could have been the culprit. I was sadly mistaken. I now have a DEEP hatred for them (and I used to be quite fond of “cute” little raccoons)
I’m so truly sorry for your loss

Yes! I will definitely put out a live trap tomorrow! Another great idea! The coop itself is secure and is locked at night, but now I'm thinking of putting another lock on the door. We've been here a bit over 6 years and have never had issues besides hawks (and one questionable kill by an owl). Ugh!
