On the very very top of the page on their website, are the letters http:// then all of the website info including your name, etc. What you want to do is put your cursor on that line and click it til the entire bar turns blue, right click then click 'cut'
Bottom of the page, right hand side says privacy - paste that link into the box that says URL and fill out the balance of the boxes

I didn't know how either.

This is at the bottom of the Snopes report:
NOTE: By running some trials with Spokeo, we've found that: · The information returned to paying customers through Spokeo searches is not very detailed and is often inaccurate.· Our repeated trials with requesting the blocking of a particular record through Spokeo's privacy page have found the procedure to be highly questionable: no attempt is made to verify that the person requesting the blocking of a record is the person identified by that record, our efforts have never resulted in a successfully blocked record, and Spokeo's customer service group has not responded to any inquiries. All of this has led some to speculate that one of Spokeo's core businesses is actually the collecting of e-mail addresses.

I would much rather them collect my email address and spam me, rather than, to have my info out there on a website that I didn't voluntarily put my information on. I removed myself and DH... As for the spam I may receive, I have a big spam folder. No biggie!!

This is an email gathering ploy. You will not be removed. Ask me how I know. Glad I used an email I don't care about.

I removed both of us and several elderly relatives about a year ago. None of us show up on the site now.

Thanks bunches for the information. At least it was easy to remove unlike some other websites. However, one thing I did notice that if you really wanted to look at the information in more detail, you had to pay them.

Make certain that you go to your email account to confirm the removal. Otherwise, you won't be removed.

I just found another elderly relative and removed them. I'll verify it in a few days.
