My cousin came over and my DS told her kids about my chickens and she was like don't touch them! You'll get sick!
un So the kids did anyways and the last I saw of her was her pouring Purell all over them and telling the kids that they'd be getting baths as soon as they got home...PLEASE!!!!
My Goddess, Wolfpacker, that was hysterical!!!
When I took Slifer and Obelisk into the petstore I worked for a change of scenery, they sat in the carriage on newspaper and I pushed them around the store. Lots of people came over and patted them and asked questions about them. But one dipstick, called the manager and told her that I had no right to bring "those things" into a petstore where she could get Psittacosis from them...
Let's see, they had been given baths the previous day.
They were on leashes and never left the shopping cart.
Psittacosis is Parrot Fever, and they're not parrots...
What a nutjob!
The manager that took the call was a great guy and he said that since they were pets, that they had every right to come into a pet store. She swore at him and after saying that she was gonna sue the store if she caught anything from the diseased things, she hung up!
There was a girl from the local shelter there and she even said that it was a great thing for me to bring them around. It shows people that chickens can be pets and that they're just not a food.
