Can an excess of vitamins cause intestinal disease in chicks, leading to death?

Too much of a good thing can be harmful in chicks especially when their innards arnt fully formed nor able to absorb an excess of vitamins and minerals.

Some vitamins are excreted fairly safely in excess, others can build up to toxic levels and cause illness/ death.
If you have to make your own feeds, do good research about balancing their diet.

Are you adding a vitamin mix to the water or what do you have? Can you post a photo of the vitamins?

Generally, you want to provide a source of plain fresh water in addition to vitamin water, so the chickens have a choice. Some don't like supplements/additives in water and will not drink a lot, this can lead to dehydration.
