Hi. We have been keeping chickens for 6 years. This is the first time we have seen this... Do you know what it could be? One hen (looks good in appearance) begins to just stand around and not have any interest in eating. Does drink. Sometimes walks slow and looks around in a daze. Sometimes stands on one leg. The first hen that acted this way eventually died. We then saw another young healthy looking hen start with this "syndrome". The first hen was 6-8 years old. So we didn't think too much of it until we saw this 1 year old doing it now! The first hen was a Rhode Island Red. This one is a Red Star. We did 7 days of antibiotics on the water for the flock. No change. Any thoughts?
