Heard my rooster crow this morning!

To some this may seem like nothing but being a first time chicken owner it was pretty awesome! When I was leaving this morning, I heard little rooster trying to crow! It was hilarious!!!!

Congrats! He's apparently trying out his big boy pants.

I love hearing ours crow. He's got such a wonderful trill in the middle!

Congratulations!! Aren't first crows adorable?

My little guy started trying to crow a few days ago. He sounds like a squeak toy. I try not to laugh where he can see me since he is very proud of his new big boy voice.

I absolutely love first crows! All the way from the first gargled, and surprised! sound the little cockerels make, to the nearly adult version of the little boys' crows. I also love the sound of adult roosters crowing, but those baby crow sounds are simply adorable.

I always cheer 'em on. "You GO, boy! You'll get it soon!" and "Oh, that's a good one! Keep trying!"

I remember the first time Stan crowed. I was working and did morning chores at 5 am. When I opened the pop door of the coop, Stan blasted forth his first crow. It was a very nice crow for his first time, but Big Sister who was next to him was not at all pleased. She nearly pulled off his wattles.
