hearing the chick peeping inside!!

ok so it has busted thru the egg and i can see its little beak. i am so excited.... except i think my silkie will be a BAD mom. .. . . she got off the nest selfishly to eat drink and dirt bathe while her chick was trying to hatch! she is only 6 months old...... so i know its weird for her to have gone broody... this is the only chick shes hatching cuz the others were duds.... i might end up hand raising it and finding it one other friend... duckling or chick... lol
