This morning I went out to take care of my chickens and I noticed that my 2 baby Salmon Flavrola chickens (names Ferb and Perry) were dead. I play with my chickens daily, ensuring that they are used to people picking them up and handling them. I'm wondering if this breed is a breed that has some kind of heart condition, and if so, what I can do so that they don't die.

Welcome to BYC.
I am sorry for the loss of your two chicks. I've owned Salmon Faverolles and their hearts are just as strong as any other breed. I currently have one Salmon Faverolle and she is as healthy as can be at almost 2 years old and lays eggs.
How old was Ferb and Perry? What were you feeding them and did they have fresh water to drink?

They were a few months old, but the had their full grown feathers. Yes, I make sure that they have fresh food and clean water multiple times a day, daily. So far I've had 3 Salmon Flavrolles die mysteriously.

The only way you'll find out for sure the cause of death is to have a necropsy performed. You can contact a local vet, or your state agriculture department to find out how to go about it.

Okay, thank you so much for your help.
