If a fox left a carcass on last visit, then use it as bait with trap set very near where fox left carcass. When carcass used, I placed it in a tripped live trap and used a leg hold trap set outside properly next to the bait.

Possum was shot by my neighbor straight out of a tree right above my coop last night!! Head shot. Soooo so so glad he is dead!

I do have a paw snap-trap, but lots of my neighbors have outdoor cats the often come on my property and I would feel terrible if I hurt one of them - or even killed it!

if you want the pelt and want to save the skull. been told shoot at the base of the skull where the neck meets it. if done right key word is right you should a good pelt and a good skull.
