What temperature did you set it to? Duck and chicken eggs both require the same temp, just different humidities and incubation periods.

I set it to 36.8, or that’s the highest that it would stay to. When I got back, it was a bit over 35. I quickly adjusted it but didn’t want to say anything to her.

They were on day 17 when I checked. They were watched for ten days, which is what I’m concerned about. I’m pretty certain they quiet because the blood ring was very clear on them. I opened them and saw the clear goo and blood. One was completely full with yellow yolk and some blood. I’m keeping 3 in the incubator as of now because the “blood rings” on two look odd and I’m concerned that they’re just funky looking veins. One of them doesn’t have any veins visible, but I see an embryo that looks perfectly healthy.

Can you take photos of the eggs being candled? I'm interested to see if possible. Any movement from the embryo?

Any incubator should go to these temperature, so I'm a bit confused. Over 35 is still okay but if prolonged at that temp they would develop much slower and could die if left that low for a long time.

She might have misunderstood some of the instructions, and I said that because she was the only adult in the house while we were gone. She’s been living with us for months. I promise I’m not racist- i’m partly Ukrainian myself

Never intended to cast aspersions of racism; just seeking clarity on why her nationality (not race) would matter. Ukraine is a European country; if she's ethnically European, she's considered Caucasian. My heritage stems from just south of there.

Any incubator should go to these temperature, so I'm a bit confused. Over 35 is still okay but if prolonged at that temp they would develop much slower and could die if left that low for a long time.

My incubator is really annoying with temperature.

I’m terribly sorry for the photos. Its light outside for me but last night I got a clear candling.

Egg #1: The veins aren’t very clear, but I see some. Im not sure if what I’m seeing is an embryo or a yolk (Not visible in the photo), but for all of my eggs I have a dark shadow that moves and goes to the bottom however the egg is turned. None of these eggs have a bad smell.

Egg #2: The veins aren’t too clear here either. However, I see three red dots lined up together. I’m not sure, but it doesn’t look like a good sign. I see the same rolling yolk/embryo in this one as well.

Egg #3: This egg has a huge air sac, but anyways. I see a few veins in this guy that aren’t too easy to see, and one red vein that is clearly visible. Again with the yolk/embryo.

these are past day 17?
You can really see how development slowed for these due to cooler temp. By now the duckling should be filling the egg up-
So these dont look good, I cant see any healthy veining- You could wait until it is dark, and the room is fully dark, and then candle again. Its harder to see inside the egg when the room is light.
But sadly I dont think these are viable anymore, if older than 17 days, they seem to have quit a long time ago. Is the remaining egg (the one you believe to be viable, unless that was one of these three?) looking further along than these?
