Yes. I think it is a very neat block.

I agree lots of visual interest and drama, but pretty easy to do.

What would anyone think about doing a round-by-round? Each member starts a quilt square and sends it to someone else who adds a row, who then sends it to someone else, etc, until enough rows have been done, then everybody sends their quilt back to whomever started it and gets their own back from whoever has it.
