This is all new to me have no experience raising pullet chickens. About 4 - 5 weeks old. All feathered...Temp inside house is 70 degrees. Ouside temp 60 degrees. Coup being built I bought a Producer's chicken coop heater and brooder. 200 W and 40 W. Do these chickens by winter have to maintain 70 to 75 degrees inside the coop in winter? Would they need additional source of heat? Everything will need to be tested just trying to prepair myself. Summer temp what is the highest temp that can be in the coop and would a fan be needed? Their are 2 windows that can be opened and a built run provided outside for exercise. Hard boiled egg given to them in the morning and their feed is their 24/7. At night they get scraps such as broccoli and cooked chicken before bed. I appreciate anyone input. There are tiny wild birds outside all year round and do very well outside.
