Heat Lamp Hatching?

So I can’t put a heat lamp in a container and spray the egg every couple of hours and turn it myself?

Lol sorry I’m reading like 20 different threads at the time. So I can’t get a container point a heat lamp away from the egg, turn it myself and spray it with water every hour

You can try anything... I was running a risk hatching in a brooder, but my chance of success was slightly higher. For one, it wasn't an open container.

You need some way to maintain an even temp and humidity for it, contain it in some way. Which is the basis of the homemade incubators using a regular ol lightbulb. Most heat lamps will be too hot, and spraying the egg will maintain the humidity for only a very short period of time.
Whats the deal with this proposed egg? Starting from day 0 as an experiment, or trying to hatch one that’s further along and rejected or something?

Day 0 I’m going to try. So maybe I have to spray it every hour and keep a small bowl of water in there for humidity? And even for extra I can spray the sides of a container

I also had multiple thermometers. And hydrometers. Planned every detail from day 1. I was home every minute of the 21 days. Adjusted the lamp multiple times a day. And didn't sleep for 3 nights during lockdown. I can't remember my hatch rate but I think something like 10 of 18 hatched... I moved every egg into a different position in the brooder every time I hand turned them, 3+ times a day. Added cold water bottles to the hot spots and changed them out a few times a day... there was a lot to it.

Do you have some way to trap the humidity in there? A small bowl or other container would work as it evaporates for sure. You may have to play around with where your lamp is set; and you may need to try to keep the humidity much higher at first until you figure out how quickly it drops. It’ll drop insanely fast if you have no way to contain it, so some sort of lid/cover is going to be necessary, but also not get in the way of your lamp.
You may be better off making yourself a coolerbator with a plain lightbulb instead... I feel like the temp swings and humidity swings will be too much for the egg this way. I tried once with a heating pad and a salt lamp fixture minus the salt part; it was really hard to keep the temp steady, even with a thermostat. Nothing hatched from that group of test eggs.
