heat lamp or not?

I have 2 RIR's that are nowalmost 3 weeks they have alot of feathers, and at night I have had their heat lite on.
Well they fly now and in the morning I find them out of the box and away from the lite. I have moved it raised in and also put a 60watt bulb in, I think that they do not want to have the lite on. Is it safe to try tonite without the lite? What would be the worst that would happen? They are not sleeping under it now at all.

They are in a small closed room with no ac or fan so it is warm inthere

they should have some kind of heat until their about 6 weeks, maybe just switch 25 watt.

As long as your brooder is large enough that they can get away from the light, I would continue to have it in there just in case. Perhaps put in a less powerful bulb or paint it red to make it a little darker.
