I have been freezing water bottles for my chickens then I wrap them in cloth scraps and putting them in the coop- maybe one of the nest boxes. they don't lay on the water bottles but it helps to keep it cool in the coop. I also use small ice blocks like you might put in a small cooler, to keep things cold I also wrap those in scrap cloth, or put them in an old feed sack.. I make sure I have lots of extra water tubs for them to drink from as well. And I put a fan in the coop.

Another thing I did was put up a screen door instead of a regular door for the summer to cool things out, and I have gotten extra doors or boards from scrap yards to lean on the coop to use as sun shades, and to keep sun off coop. I also put up cloth to shade some areas.

Sounds like your chickens are staying cool in the heat! We don't have to worry about it getting too hot here but you have some good ideas!
