Heat vs egg laying.

My hens seem to be off laying atm. Does the heat effect their laying? They have plenty of nipple water buckets, constant food supply and I free range them around the barn yard and close-in wooded area a minimum of 2 times a week. There are also fans in the very large (3 horse stalls) converted coop to keep the air circulating. 10 hens, usually I have a minimum of 7 eggs, lately I'm lucky to get 2-3. Whatcha think?

I think summer will do that, they could be getting ready for a molt (loss of feathers), they may be getting older or the actual heat is getting to them. Have you tried cooler water?
