so there is an excessive heat wave this week here in gilbert AZ, most days its gonna be 112 and i need to know if there is anything else i can do to cool down my coop, i already have: tons of ventilation, a massive coop, a little more than half is shaded and a small area is heavily shaded, 2 waterers, 1 mister. is there anything else I can do besides frozen treats and feed?

I think you have it covered.
Chilled watermelon is always a variety for my flock on hot days. I’ll either put the whole watermelon in the fridge or basement and slice it in half for the flock.

Sounds like your hens are all set. Although I put out troughs of dirt that my hens like to lay down in. They love the cool dirt, but that may not be necessary in your coop.
oh the flooring is dirt, yes I know it could be better but they dust bathe wherever but in the nest boxes it is pine shavings and they also love it

I have the same problem heat wave in western australia!!! I've resorted to putting my silkies and quail in my air/con garage to keep them safe. My chooks are still in the chook run and I've been hosing water into their areas which are quite large. Hate the heat worry of bush fires too.
