Heat wave tips?

Here in N Texas we have several weeks of 100+F and it’s brutal on the girls. I also love to freeze trays of water, I buy the big foil roasting pans and either freeze or add bagged ice. They like to peck at it until it melts, then take turns standing in it to cool down. I add frozen berries sometimes.

I freeze water bottles and set them in the nesting boxes during the hottest part of the day, then refreeze at night.

I also spray down a part of their run that is very shaded and they love to dig down in the wet dirt and rest. I added a solar fan to one corner. It’s hit or miss with functionality but when it works, they like to sit in the breeze it creates.

Thank you. I'm not sure about the swamp coolers.
I don’t have personal experience with them, because alas, I’ve never lived in a dry climate. But my understanding is that they are a form of passive(?) air conditioning via evaporative cooling.

I’ve seen multiple posts by members here who live in desert-type environments who are very happy with them.
