Heated chicken waterer?

Yep, I've seen them drinking raindrops off the bottom rail of a tube gate. And for some reason the puddle in a tarp is deemed better than clean water in a bowl. They used to go to the pond behind the barn every morning before I got the 2 alpacas. The boys sometimes chase the chickens so they stopped doing that. The pond is ANYTHING but clean, it has no water source other than snow melt and rain.

I use a 5 gallon bucket with horizontal nipples year round. In freezing weather I put a stock tank heater in it. Works great all winter and lows get -25°F to -30°F at the coldest here typically.
