Heating a pool for ducks

In the winter I want my ducks to be able to use the kiddie pool we gave for them. It’s your basic outdoor plastic kiddie pool. Can I possibly put an outdoor heating mat underneath it to keep the water from freezing?? Or any other solutions? I can get a heated waterer but they can’t fully dipped their heads in that....

I use stock tank heaters in my pools to keep them thawed Just make sure you get one that says it's safe in plastic tanks.

It's not easy - I have to dump the dirty water out, swish the pool out with five gallons of water from a bucket, then refill them bucket by bucket. Luckily, often snowstorms will refill them for me, lol.
