All the heating pads I see automatically turn off. If you are to keep the chicks warm through the night how do you deal with that?

We buy the ones from SunBeam that don't turn off. I bought mine at Walmart and it says right on the box that it has a setting for continuous heat.

It does not have an auto shutoff.

As caution - I want to say that mine has to be turned to the STAY-ON condition, otherwise it will default to 4 hour heat and turn off.

Mine is in use right now so I don't have the model number but it is a cheap Sunbeam with 3 heat settings and a slide switch. The Sunbeam website has the features for each model all spelled out and you can order directly from them. I had the same problem with the local stores not having many options. It was two hour shutoff or the huge and super deluxe model with an always-on option. I also wanted the simplicity of the slide switch so that it would resume without intervention should the power go out briefly. We have short outages during spring storms and that worried me.
