So let's see, the triplets are in Texas, Florida, and Minnesota....I vote when they get sick we all send them to a nice central location to recuperate...to someone with experience dealing with their particular brand of illness...Arkansas should be about right. I nominate Gritty.

Now what you could do is the following:

Make him chicken noodle soup three times a day. Bring him three boxes of Kleenex to put by his bedside.

Serve some gatorade, and bring him meals in between the chicken soup runs. Ask him if he needs popcicles for rehydration.

He will think he is really sick, OR he won't let you leave the room without a bear hug.

My Irish/Pollack husband is the biggest baby in the WORLD when he's sick. And he's active duty Navy, with over 18 years in the service. Big tough as nails NCO, you can likely picture the type. He lays on the sofa, whining and moaning, constantly asking me to check his temperature and complaining about the light, the dogs breathing too loud, the tv (that he left on), the temperature of the house. . . . Once he even asked me to give him a bell so he wouldn't have to yell to get my attention.

I asked my MIL what to do with him when he got colds and she suggested I lock him in a room, then when I was certain he was sleeping tuck a few water bottles, tissue boxes and Dayquil in the room. Then run like hell. Pop in ear plugs. Drink heavily.

I almost look forward to deployments, so the carrier's medical center can deal with him when he's sick. But what am I gonna do when he retires in less than 2 years?

I must be a horrible wife. He went back to bed at 11 o'clock this morning and I haven't gone in to check on him once. I figure I can still hear his CPAP & oxygen concentrator running, so he must still be alive in there.

Oh dangit! His cell phone just rang. It's sure to wake him up. Here we go......
