Oh my goodness.... :love do they have crests? :/

:D

Only one of the two day olds looks to have a very very very one and I thought four of the eleven day olds did but now I'm only seeing three :hu Guess I'll wait and see. Big Mama has five crests and two not. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep a Swedish Pekin drake, they're big, grow fast, are crestless and I really like their color. I'm 98% sure their dad was my Black Swede and he didn't carry the gene so they shouldn't either. That'll give me two crestless drakes.

Okay Im a little curious - have any of you guys had a chicken freak out so bad that they molted? Because I think that the stupid dog attack earlier this week not o ly yanked out half of Cadbury's butt fuzz, but ALL her feathers look really raggedy now :/ and she has a lovely puncture wound right next to her vent,on top of all that.
I hate dogs.... Wow that dealt really good to say even if it isn't entirely true

Indeed they do. ;) Misty lost every single feather on her body after only being scratched by some random feral cat. :old They grew back four months later- but it's not every day you get to see a bald D'uccle! :lau

KEEP THE SWEDE PEKIN DRAKE!!!!!! :fl That's such a cool mix! :D
Woah, you're overrun with crestedness! Who do you think is the parent whose dominant gene keeps influencing that? Or are all of your ducks suspected to carry the Crested gene? :hu

See you tonight guys- we're packing Easter eggs this afternoon after the service at church!!! :woot

Wait was Easter today?!

 No, Palm Sunday. Next week's Easter. But we go to church every week. ;) And today we're stuffing Easter eggs for our church's egg hunt next Saturday.
Adios till tonight! :frow

I'm thinking I will. And they're BIG! Only two months old and as big as my pekins drakes, not as heavy but build wise they're as big.

Not over run, it's about 50/50 I have 10 crested and 15 crestless ducklings. I do, Lord Farquack, my dominant Pekin drake who is also crested.
