Heavily speckled/stippled chicken eggs

I Love speckled eggs! Thinking of getting some wellsummer hatching eggs this yr. They are suppose to lay speckled I hear. These are from my BCM's. I had just used them,so they are cracked but you get the idea.

I read that welsummer hens will often lay eggs that have a spot pattern particular to them. Don't know if it is true.
I was curious about the particular hue of welsummer as compared to marans. Do any of you have an example of both to show side by side?
I have heard the welsummer color described as rusty - which didn't appeal to me much. Just curious.

I thought it was my imagination, but it seems like every time I feed the girls some red grapes I get spots/speckles on most of the RIR eggs the next day. Will try and do a before and after picture next time I feed any grapes.

I have some ladies that give me speckles and I wash them off the best I can since I thought it was just blood spots. You're telling me they're just fine, wahoo!

Haha! Blood washes off super easy under running water, but once they've been laying a couple weeks, I never see any blood again. Not even when my tiny little Leghorn laid a 3.25 ouncer last week!
