OK.......so its day 17 and i just candled my eggs, humidity has been 50-55% so far. Chicks are fine, lots of movement but the air cells still seem small. has my humitity been running to high or am i just panicking. from the diagrams i have found on google, they look to be at around day 14 MAX. Am i just being stupid? any advice would be much appreciated as its my first time and were sooo close!! fingers crossed the babies are ok.....

Just calm down. Your eggs will be fine as long as you turned properly and kept the temperature correct. I ran my humidity at 55% my first few hatches and it worked just fine for me. Remember eggs can take up t o 25 days and sometimes longer. Do not intervene EVER! If they don't hatch on their own there is probably a reason they can't hatch properly.

Ok....im calmer now....thank you :-) im attempting to breed brahmas too and its my first time, im so nervous lol! Its lockdown tomorrow so I need to keep it together *deep breath* ohh would you happen to no what colour chicks I would get if mother is buff Columbian and father is a dark brahma?

Buff Columbian x Dark brahma gives you a buff Columbian colored bird with A LOT of smutty coloring. The only Brahma colors that mix well are light and buff. With a buff over light cross you get sex linked chicks. All of the females would be buff and the males will be light with buff bleeding through. With a light over buff cross you get the same males and light females.

Ahhh ok....interesting. I have dark, lemon and buff hens but my roo is dark. The only hen laying at the time of incubating was the buff c. My dark girl was broody, so no eggs from her. I just pray they will hatch ok :)
