Yes I have another silkie. Hes sitting on my arm right now making it hard to type haha. Hes completely fine though.

he doesn't have to be sick..
he could be immune to his own "germs" (strain)

does he go out in the yard?

Definitely get some of the baby parrot food into her- it has all sorts of vitamins in it and they generally LOVE it. I think if you make it fairly runny, you can spoon it to her, maybe you'll have to force to start, as she'll be nervous about it. Dip her beak into a spoon of it and watch for her shaking it all over. The liquid in it will help, too, but don't rely on that being her only liquid.

You're a good mom to work so hard at this- I really hope she pulls through for you, and that you don't feel too awful if she doesn't- I know it's really hard to watch and feel helpless.

Go, Cheesy! Eat and get stronger!!

Hes been indoors all his life except for when the weathers nice and I let him wonder outside for an hour. Hes never out long

Yes the hand feeding formula would work very well, I have used it before on sick birds. If you do use a crop tube make the formula a little extra wet to help with her hydration.

K i got her to take about 4 bites of the baby feed. Its hard to get her mouth open! On the up-side, shes not panting anymore..
