Does the seller know for sure that this bird had a BROKEN leg? Did she assume this because the leg was dragging? How well do you know the seller? I am worried about Marek's disease, classic presentation is a single leg paralysis which progresses to both legs, and in general death. Many people not familiar with this disease think they have a leg injury. A chicken with a broken leg is uncomfortable- but they have a great will to eat and drink. I would speak to the seller again ASAP and ask if they are familiar with this disease, and if so, have they had this in their flock. Get more information on the leg injury. If there was a veterinary intervention, ask for records. How old is this hen? Usually it strikes in the leg paralysis form around 5-6 months, but can vary.

Hey everyone! What a night.. I stayed up till 2 with her and then slept on the floor with her the rest of the night. Sleeping on the floor was interesting.. my male silkie wanted to cuddle so he either wanted to sleep on my arm (which would go numb) or he would sit right by my face and lay his head on my head haha. But that tickled my nose!

I gave her water several times and i got her to take a little of the baby formula. This morning I woke up and she was happily walking around pooping on the floor haha.

I know the owner pretty well. Shes raised silkies all her life and wouldn't give a bad one to me on purpose. She definitely did break her leg though. The fence gate slammed on it and it broke. They had to give her surgery.

She laid an egg sunday night so I dont think it was an egg laying problem. Before I left for work I gave her a spoon full of formula to make sure she had something in her.

If I read the original post correctly, this was on old injury that was fixed.

Also, it appears the bird was moving around without discomfort (waddling around in chicken diapers) so unless the injury was repeated, it's a new problem.

The OP seems to *other* problems could be causing this. While it could be Marek's, based on the presentation, there seems to be confusion based on info about the old injury.

I think keeping her hydrated and fed will give her a chance to recover from the stress of the new location. Feed her as much of the baby parrot food as she wants for a few days. Can you take her to a vet just for evaluation?

Thats the plan I'm gonna run home this afternoon to give her more for formula and then I'll give her more tonight if she wants it. If she shows anymore signs of weekness I'll take her to the vet. Its hard to tell what is weekness and what is just the limp. She limps pretty bad, poor thing
