Sounds like TSC really messed up. Buff Orpingtons are NOT BLACK at any stage of their life.
I do hope the folks at "what breed or gender is this," can identify what TSC did sell you.

Black Australorps are Orpingtons just as Buff Orps are. Both have the same good qualities of being docile, friendly, hardiness and great layers.

They do look like australorps but one of them has a lot of black in the comb!

I hope you can protect the rest from predators. We do have some predator proof articles in the learning center
