Hello all

[Backyard Bruce]

Hello, my name is Bruce, I'm in the Catskill Region of NYS and have been wanting to get a flock of chicken for some time now.

Finally the wife and I decided to do just that and we received them today in the mail.
I ordered 9 total, 3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 silver polish and 3 golden polish.
I received 11 total of what seem to be all healthy and active birds. I got one extra Red and one extra golden.

They came from cackle hatchery and I must say they really did a nice job in packing these chicks.

I've been doing a heck of a lot of reading and searching on this site before I purchased to learn the dos and dont's so I don't have any specific questions just yet but I'm certain they will come.

Just came on to introduce myself and say thanks in advance for any help you all might give.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
