Hello all!

Have you candles the eggs to make sure everyone is on track? You may need to do a safety hole if you're not seeing any external pips yet.
Here's a great article by @Pyxis about hatching!
We last candled them on day 24, just before lockdown, and they were on track. We haven't candled them since as we've read everywhere not to open the incubator during that time.

I'm desperate to take a nose to say if I need to intervene but I'm worried I may do more harm than good but then doubting myself by not doing it! Catch 22!

Fingers crossed it's soon and I don't need to intervene! My 6 year old daughter is very excited to meet them 😍
They like to rest after they pip. Often up to 24 hours before they start zipping. Others pop right out.

So to update you all...

I was getting a little worried about the ducklings so made a hole in each of the eggs and unfortunately they've all passed away. It seems the humidity wasn't high enough and only one internally pipped and all had shrink wrapped. I'm understably heartbroken and now have the awful job of telling my daughter.

I shall be getting rid of my current incubator and purchasing a new one as and when we decide to give this another go. Please can you recommend tried and tested incubators?

Thank you for all your advice and welcoming me so warmly to BYC. Hopefully my next post will be more positive x
