Funny thing, Scarlett likes Red, and Iris & Hazel are sticking close to Buster. Poor old Festus gets no loving from anyone other than Speckles, the Silver-Spangled Hamburg we bought from Blondie here on the forums.

If you ever hatch eggs from Hazel or Iris with Buster, the chicks would be 3/4 Barred Rock. Would be interesting to see if they look more like Barred Rocks than the mothers do.

Well, we do plan on hatching chicks from our little lot, it'll be interesting to see what we get, with all the hens...you can always check that in his signature. Buster's the only bird that's actually mine.

LOVE those Barred Rock roosters! Hawkeye may not be show quality, but he's a winner just the same. He's my buddy. But then, so is big Suede. No bad roosters here!

Yup. I was impressed with Hawkeye, he was so casual in his methods. Walked around, complete nothin-doin' attitude, checked on everyone, and went back to doing his own thing.

Sure, here's a couple of Tux. BTW, her name is Tux because as a chick, she was black with a bright white chest. That disappeared as her feathers grew, but she'll always be Tuxy to us. This first pic is Tux (left) with her sister Olivia at 12 weeks old. You see why they are the Poufy-Head Sisters, LOL!

Oh, my, here's a picture of Tuxy as a baby-she molted out all that pretty lacing except what's on her hackles now.
