Hello all.

O
So beautiful.

I wanted to ask, what is your NPIP about that you have to wait to get more chickens until you get that? In our state of Wisconsin, they've made us backyard chicken folks exempt. We can even sell hatching eggs and chicks, provided it's personal and not a business and we don't intend to show any. I realize every state is different though.

Oh, I’m just waiting until then to expand. Nothing but personal preference. I want to ship, so I’m trying to make that a priority versus expansion of breeds at this time.

I’m new to the forums. Figured I’d introduce the farm. Currently working on a Black Americana/Barred Rock based pen, a splash Americana pen, some Silver Lakenvelders, and a pen of Blue Copper Marans. We’ve also got a breeding trio of TAMUKs in Harlequin and Magpie varieties. Joined to talk genetics and learn more about the color factors in other breeds and add them to our farm after getting NPIP. Thank y’all.
