That was on the table as well as Rhode Island Reds..
Ha! The thing is, all the guides and breed references will say that they are a “docile” breed. In reality, I know from experience that Rhode Island Red are the pit bulls of chickens. When raised right, they are good birds, and often the leaders of the flock. If you raise them the least bit wrong however, they will try to eat your eyes. I once had to separate a meat bird, because I had ten or so Rhode Island’s that were eating him alive. Once they get a taste of blood, you cannot stop them.
