We are a mother and son, new to the site. We have one button quail. She is a red-breasted hen. We just ordered our second button quail, a male. We opted not to chose a color for the male, and went the "surprise us!" route. They all seem beautiful, so it seemed to us like more fun this way. Our new quail should be arriving on Thursday. We have been having fun looking at pictures of different colored male quails, and trying to guess which one we are getting.
I hope we will learn a lot here!

We bought our first quail at the bird mart in Corpus Christi, Texas. We also bought a budgie then we named her Gemini. Our quail is a red-breasted hen. It is light brown, and black and white. The egg is brown with black dots.
But it will not hatch because it is not fertilized.
