Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me :old will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!

Supervised visitation may be best for you, but if he isn't over-mating her, he probably isn't really hurting her. The problem with separating them is that when he does get a chance to be with her, that will be all he wants and then could very easily hurt her. Duck mating is not pretty, and looks brutal, but it's because of their...um..."method"... The way they have to do it. The females usually can say NO, if she wants to. ;) Give her things to run around to get away from him if she wants. Do they have a pool? It's usually easier for them in the water.
I know it's difficult to see, but he will get it out of his system quicker if you allow it to happen. As long as he isn't too big for her, she should be fine. Just collect eggs daily, and you'll have no ducklings!
