I found this website a little more than a month ago. What a great source y'all are! We have a small family cow/calf operation and I have always kept chickens. I love my chickens! I pick them up and pet them and rub my face on them.
In the past I have always had a broody hen to set eggs for me at least once a year. But the past few years no one wants the job! So I decided to use the incubator. That was where y'all came in! I followed all the instructions from the Incubation Cheat Sheet and we did GREAT!
I set 48 eggs to start with. There were 12 that by the 14th day were clear as could be so I pitched them. Than starting Sunday we began hatching! As of right now I have 22 out of their shells. I can see several more that have little pips.
So a BIG thank you for shring all your info! My husband wants to try turkey eggs in a few months.
By the way, my name is Susan. We are in Central Texas.
