Hello! I hope all of you are having a wonderful week! I'm looking forward to the continued learning this group has offered me to my chickens and now chicks!
1) My husband and I first got 17 laying hens and a rooster about 9 months ago when some friends were moving and couldn't take them with. This last month, we incubated our first batch of eggs.
2) We now have the 17 laying hens, rooster, and 8 fluffly little week old chicks!
3) I have no idea on the breeds, we'll go with FREE!
4) I love the fresh eggs, as do my coworkers, family and friends!
5) Reading, crocheting, bowling, camping and farming keep me plenty busy!
6) I'm a chemist, farmgirl, and wife of an awesome engineer/farmer!
7) I found BYC about a 9 months ago when I was trying to figure out what tasty treats I could share with my new chickens. I've found help with many of my chicken related questions here since them and am looking forward to learning even more!
