Hi guys, I am very new in raising chickens. I got my first 2 hens few months ago before this COVID crap was going on.
But am I not glad to do so?! My kids were having fun playing with the two hens. They started to lay eggs about 1 month ago.
Last week, we got 4 new chicks. This is also a first time I am brooding. I already posted asking for input here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/first-time-brooding.1358268/
So total I have 6 chickens. My favorite aspect is their low maintenance, but super rewarding.
I learned so much from this forum, and now I hope I can contribute more.
My occupation is Software Engineer.
I found out BYC of course from google search, and the advice is very down to earth for non-farmers people.
I am looking forward to interacting more with you guys.
