Hello and thanks

Hello :frow welcome to BYC! Two dozen to 50, that escalated quickly! Love the different breeds you have, I love Ayam Cemani :love if you have pictures of your flock, it would be cool to see. Do you keep them separate by breeds or all together free-range?
Hi ,thank you ,it varies they've their own runs and coops but they dont usually stay in them ,I live on open grazing land with heath and most wander about there ,the Hamburgs will be confined to their run for a few weeks next spring so I can get purebred chicks and maybe the Shetland ,but the rest will be left to roam ,the silkies and a couple of other chickens dont go far from their patch though they seem very home loving .I have photos I will post some once I have my laptop

Hi and welcome to BYC! What an amazing flock! You must get lots of beautiful eggs! :)
I do normally ,but at the moment most of my coloured egg layers are mums or borderline broody so I have let them keep their eggs stashed away wherever they are laying them .I usually got pale blue ,a few shades of green, dark brown from the Welsummer ,pinkish white ,from my bantams and white oval ones from the Hamburgs and pretty peachy coloured ones from the Bluebell ,

Welcome to the forum! You will love it here! 😊Sounds like you have been a victim of chicken math🤣
Some of the breeds you have, I have never heard of! Photos at some point would be fun to see.😊

Thank you ,I was suprised how fast it increased :) my broodys almost all did pretty well ,only one had a bad hatch rate because she went back to the wrong nest and the eggs got cold for over 2 hours, but even so one hatched, the rest hatched around half a dozen each .I will try to add photos

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

VERY nice assortment of breeds you keep. ALL on my gotta have list! Welcome to our community!
I have Deathlayers ,Marsh Daisys ,vorvek and croad Langshan on my wish list for next year and probably Scots Dumpys but it will depend on if I fence off more land because I would want the cockeral to have a large bit of space to himself while he was the new commer ,most of my cockerals get along fine they could all reach each other and fight if they wanted but mostly they free range together or one or two have hissy fits through the fence and pretend they cant see the open gate or that the fence is only three feet high
