Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Pics
Our nights are down around 18 degrees right now and we have snow on the ground with 3 foot drifts. My OE adults are doing just fine but in the same pens, same location, I've lost 6 teenagers so far due to the cold. I think the best way to get started is hatch in the spring, by the time winter rolls around they should be big enough to do just fine with the cold.

Crowing never stops at my place but I don't care. The OE are not near as loud as my RIR's & they arent as loud as my full size game cocks.

As for winter hardy i was a little worried about mine about a month ago when it went from 50 degrees to 0 degrees in two days, but they were just fine, just keep em dubbed. i keep mine in a coop 20 ft. out my back door, i have 1 rooster, 4 cockerels and 3 hens, and i never here them, even in the summer with my windows open and screen in the sliding glass back door. i'v never gotten a complaint from any neighbors, but they did tell me that my ringneck doves were really loud:/ I'd kill for a 6x11 shed w/ a decent run attached, you could keep so many oegb's in there. if it's heated why not go all the way and sound proof it too... jk

Like all of you, people; I love OEGB!. Love their personalities, their
hardiness. Here a few pictures of my own flock.

Nice! I love these little birds. I don't have any OEGB or Creles butthey sure are cute. I have some mixed fancy banties, mostly cochin but 1 sebright and a mille fluer hen. They are very cute, and cold-hardy to my suprise!

I had a few Mille Fluer OEs but sadly they were boys so I sold them. I have one little blue OE pullet and she's a house bird. I'll have to get pictures of her tomorrow and maybe you can tell me what kind of quality she is

I took her to a show but all that was marked on her card was to much comb(she does have a very floppy comb for her age) and she got 1st out of the blue pullets there.

These are a trio of Spangle that I had on Eggbid for sale. I also have Blue Wheaton that I hope to get pictures of soon.
I had Crele batams for a while that I used to develope my Crele OE Large Fowl.
