thats why the pic is dark
shes lighter in good lighting

That is a better Pic, but the bird is in poor condition.. Give her some time.

Well, I wanted to share a picture of my first BBRed chick(or at least the mom is a bbred hen). Not sure why the chick is so light. Do you guys think it will darken up? This is out of the trio I have shown on here but I really do not know if my hens were with a bbred before I got them or not.

I was told it should be more of a chipmunk pattern. It is getting more color down the back than when it hatched....

These are my trio. The egg the chick hatched from was from one of these hens.
