Well, guess he could be, the female is wheaten and just assumed they were the same. The color pattern on the male is identical between wheaten and black breasted red, with the wheaten ideally being a darker red. The actual gene is different and obviously the females are drastically different patterns but the males create quite a bit of confusion amongst newer folk. (This happens in the Asils and Shamos as well.)
You're sure the Wheatens are darker than the BB Reds?
im glad im not the only one who makes those mistakes. I will admit you had me wondering about the colors on my birdsNope. I'm just making a typo and making a fool out of myself. It's the other way around and I didn't proofread my post.
