Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

There are 4 genetic versions of white, and all exist in OE. I happen to have recessive silver white and I use them frequently for type improvement as it so easy to get back to color on. (Usually 3 generations) The silver whites don't sun brass as bad either. Some use Blue to cross with white or Silver Duckwing, Silver wheaton, and some even use Black then breed back to white there are many ways to help reduce the yellowing but black and blue that carry gold in teh hackle are bad choices.

Tighten his wings up a little and make them a little higher, and this is what Im breeding for. He always drops them every time I get near him or his hens. You do want to watch for the lower wing carriage like this bird shows. He isnt as bad as the picture shows, but it is a common problem with oegb cockbirds. That brown red is an awesome little bird

celtic,
You notice the wing carriage on that brown red cock bird? That is more of what you want to see, higher held tight to the body and good wide deep breast, and a tail that is proportion to the body. That Brown red is no youngster either but he is one nice little bird.

Okay I see! Thanks! Next show im going to try and talk to the breeders that win, most of them seem really nice and always willing to talk. How hard is it to learn to dubb? Ive seen it done once.
