(1) I am new to chickens this year and have enjoyed raising them from days old. I definitiely believe in chicken math now. It works as peafowl math as well. I have had freerange peafowl for over 20 years that have self wac and waned in number, I also have purchased new peafowl this year that are contained.
(2) I currently have 15 chickens, 8 freerange adult peafowl and 6 peachicks (8 to 16 weeks), 15 contained peafowl (3 weeks old to 15 months old)
(3) I have Rhode Island Reds, NH Reds, Orpingtons, Polish, and Silkie Chickens. Peafowl are Blue split pied, Cameo BS, Cameo WE, White, Silver pied, Violetta BS, IB split BS, Pied Spaulding
(4) I enjoy the little chirps and watching them grow, learn and develop their individual little personalities. They can be so sweet and trusting.
(5) My hobbies include reading, learning to garden, working/growing the farm, caring for my elderly mother and my dogs as well as my fowls
(6) I have a small family... my mom, brother, aunt and cousin. I have a rescue chi.mini grey hound mix that is my ride or die barnicle and we have four other chi rescues. I am a registered nurse and work in nurse administration and travel back and forth from Minnesota for work and to home in NW Fl to care for my mom
(7) I found BYC when searching the internet for questions and how tos and ideas this year. I joined when I wanted to ask questions.
