(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’m new. My wife has wanted them for a few years but I had always managed to defer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 7 currently but one is 90% certainly a rooster and we are not allowed to have them by city ordnance.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Olive Eggers, Wyndottes, Golden Buckey, and ISA Red.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Not sure yet...
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I ride motorcycles and used to play golf.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Family of four, my wife my daughter and son. I’m a retired Navy Veteran. I work in the training and education area as a project manager.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC via a book I purchased called “The Chicken Whisperer”.
