Hello backyard chicken members! Long time reader, and now officially ‘one of the gang’.
Have had chickens over the years - started with a couple of egg layers from the local feed store and soon after, had Ameraucanas flown in from the other side of the country (when they were still new to my area).
Have 1 hen now…make that 1 hen and 2 chicks… wait… 3 chicks - in the middle of hatching a very small clutch as I type. (Forgot how stressful this can be!)
We have a small menagerie of rescues - 3 dogs, 1 mini horse, 1 alpaca, no partridges but we do have a pear tree!
