Thanks everyone. Yeah she's an interesting bird for sure; our first one of this breed. She came in a mixed lot of chicks we bought last year. True to her breed she's a bit of a loner and roosts in trees at night. When all the other birds head for the coop as the sun goes go down she flies 30' up the nearest tree and settles in for the night. Rain or snow she's up there. Only in the worst of storms will she come down and roost in the coop with the others. Our small white leghorns also join her in the tree most nights.
