Hello,
My name is Bette. I am a middle aged to semi-old woman who lives with her prince on a mid size acreage soon to be good size acreage. I am an animal lover with the animals to prove it. a herd of horses, a pack of dogs, a pride of cats and ,most importantly here, a flock of chickens. Currently I have buff orpingtons, red sex link and a mutt rooster. I am also nursing a red rooster that I really like who has developed bumble foot probably from fighting off the mutt, who is approprately named Norman Bates, the mutt I mean. My bumble footer is named Gumshoe. LOL. I also just received my order from McMurray Hatcherie for 25 baby chicks that are a mix of Buff's, partridge rocks and bantam that will be split between me and my neighbor. OK so that is my introduction. I look forward to meeting y'all, talking some chicken and learning more.

Thank you Kelsie. I appreciate the welcome and the good wishes for healing. I just posted pics of Gumshoe's feet along with a long explanations and request for any help or advice on care of Gummy.
 
Thank you for the welcome TwoCrows. Gumshoe came about from my love of detective stories and because my husband is a law enforcement officer. LOL I could not resist.
