Hey guys and gals,

I am a father of 3 young boys with a loving wife, 2 dogs, 8 hens, and 1 rooster. I live in Washington state in Mason county on a small piece of property outside of city limits. I am kind of a county boy while my wife loves the city. We've been keeping chickens for about 2 years now and have used this forum to answer many questions we've had the entire time. Next we plan on building a nice coop and aviary for our birds so we can reclaim our backyard! Although I love having chickens, they tend to take over whatever you let them. I hope to use this forum to better my flock as well as help where I can with other flocks. Hope you like what I got!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Yes, chickens do have the opinion that if they can access it, it is THEIRS!
I routinely found mine in the beautiful window boxes and flower pots I had planted. They had caused a lot of damage before they ended up in their current pen. Let's not even talk about their never ending supply of little fertilization gifts all over the porch, deck and driveway.
